We are still compiling final numbers (we had issues with a tape overprinting and blurring numbers, and I’m told Worcester had some issues as well, delaying our final totals for school board) and of course these are subject to confirmation by Montgomery County at tabulation, but my understanding is that all of the Republican candidates won in LP on the Republican ballot. This includes judges, school board, township supervisor and auditor. (UPDATE 6-11-13 – I still do not have the #s for the entire township from our municipal leader, Jim Van Horn. When I do, I will post them).

On the Methacton School board, two of our candidates, Brenda Hackett and incumbent Herbert Rothe, also won on the Democrat ticket.

The Democrats were successful in their last-minute write-in campaign to get a Democrat candidate for township supervisor on their ballot, so Pat Duffy will have a contested race in the November general election.

In general there were a lot of write-in votes, and people went a little nuts with it, writing in all manner of names for various positions (I even got some votes and I am not running for anything!)

Turnout was anemic, probably the worst I’ve ever seen. At 2-3, we had 12.2% turnout, which was better than most.
